31 research teams will be able to start their project thanks to funding from the ZonMw Competition round 2021, which has a total budget of €24.2 million. The second round of the new programme ZonMw Open Competition will open On 20 February instead of 23 January. The deadline for the first phase of project ideas will be 16 April 2020. The deadline for submitting full proposals will also shift, namely to 15 September 2020. The most important reason for these changes is a substantive sharpening of the call for proposals.
