Talented, creative researchers who recently obtained their PhDs can soon submit a pre-proposal for a Veni from the NWO Talent Programme. The programme evaluates proposals in two phases. Two domains will work without the referee phase in this Veni round. Applicants can submit a pre-proposal until 5 September 14:00.

Researchers from the Science (ENW), Applied and Engineering Sciences (AES) and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) domains, as well as Health, Research and Development (ZonMw) will receive Vidi grants of up to 800,000 euro. From 12 September onwards, physicians who hold a PhD can once again submit a proposal for the ZonMw programme Clinical Fellows. A Clinical Fellowship is an individual grant for medical specialists who want to build a bridge between research and clinical practice in their own discipline. De Europese Commissie heeft op 25 juli gereageerd op het burgerinitiatief ’Save cruelty-free cosmetics – committing to a Europe without animal testing’. In de reactie van de Europese Commissie is aandacht voor de initiatieven die de transitie naar proefdiervrije innovaties zullen versnellen.
