The 'Ziektelastmeter' (assessment of burden) tool has a positive effect on perceived quality of care and gives patients knowledge, skills and confidence in being able to manage their disease and their health. Talented, creative researchers who recently obtained their PhDs can soon submit a pre-proposal for a Veni from the NWO Talent Programme. The programme evaluates proposals in two phases. From 12 September onwards, physicians who hold a PhD can once again submit a proposal for the ZonMw programme Clinical Fellows. A Clinical Fellowship is an individual grant for medical specialists who want to build a bridge between research and clinical practice in their own discipline. De Europese Commissie heeft op 25 juli gereageerd op het burgerinitiatief ’Save cruelty-free cosmetics – committing to a Europe without animal testing’. In de reactie van de Europese Commissie is aandacht voor de initiatieven die de transitie naar proefdiervrije innovaties zullen versnellen.
