Identification or Validation of Targets for Personalised Medicine Approaches (PMTargets)
Deadline:Who can apply
Applications can be submitted by consortia with at least 3 partners from 3 different EU Member States or associated countries whose funding organisations participate in the call. Each of these partners must be eligible and request funding from the respective funding organisation. All 3 legal entities must be independent of each other.
Dutch applicants may submit an application (i.e. participate in a consortium and request funding from ZonMw) if they belong to category A (Academia) and if they have an employment relationship with a Dutch research organisation, that meets the definition of a research organisation as referred to in EU state aid legislation. Dutch applicants may only submit 1 application in this call.
More detailed eligibility criteria for the consortia can be found in the EP PerMed JTC2024 "PMTargets" - Call Text (section 7).

What for
The aim of this first joint transnational call is to fund research that fosters the identification or validation of targets for personalised medicine (PM) approaches.
Applicants submitting a proposal to this call must combine the research on new and advanced targets with companion biomarker research (companion diagnostics). Consortia are required to clearly outline the PM perspective in the research proposed.
A more detailed explanation on the overall objectives of the JTC2024 and the scope of the call can be found in the EP PerMed JTC2024 "PMTargets" - Call Text (section 5 and 6).
What to request
For an application in this Call for proposals a maximum funding per grant awarded to a project from ZonMw is € 250.000. This is the total amount for all Dutch partners per consortium project. The maximum duration of the proposed project is 3 years. Please be aware that no additional overhead can be requested. Overhead is already included in the VSNU / NFU salary tables.
The total amount of available funds for this call is € 2.000.000.
