Join the Stakeholder Event on Vulnerability and Resilience in an Online Society

13 November 2026, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, including lunch, followed by networking drinks. Loction tba

How can we build a more inclusive and resilient digital society? And how can research and policy work together more effectively to address emerging societal challenges?

On Friday 13 November, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders are invited to come together for an interactive stakeholder event exploring vulnerability and resilience in an increasingly digitalised society.

Bridging Science and Policy

The event brings together the expertise of four distinctive transdisciplinary research consortia: DigAble, Reading Between the Lines, MOVUS, and RESOCIAL. These projects have joined forces within the new research initiative VaROS (Vulnerability and Resilience in an Online Society: Bridging Science and Policy).

Each consortium contributes unique insights into key societal issues, including:

  • The organisation of digital healthcare and housing for older adults;
  • The role and impact of social media platforms;
  • The experiences of neurodiverse young people in digital environments;
  • The interaction between online and offline communities.

Through VaROS, the knowledge and lessons generated by these projects will be integrated and translated into joint policy recommendations that support a more inclusive and resilient digital society.

What to Expect

During the event, participants will gain insights into the latest findings and results from the NWA Synergy Phase II projects DigAble, Reading Between the Lines, MOVUS, and RESOCIAL, while also learning more about the ambitions and approach of the new VaROS programme.

Most importantly, stakeholders will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the conversation. Through interactive discussions, participants can share experiences, raise questions, and exchange ideas directly with researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and fellow stakeholders.

Your input will help:

  • Shape the agenda and priorities of the VaROS project;
  • Strengthen its societal relevance and impact;
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based policy recommendations;
  • Support the creation of a more resilient and inclusive digital society.
