ZonMw Open Competition: new Grant round is expected to open mid-February 2026
The ZonMw Open Competition round for 2026 is in full preparation and is expected to open around mid-February 2026. The deadline for submitting the preproposal will be early April, 2026. A decision procedure will follow, after which applicants will be invited to further develop their project ideas.
Attention: Information session
On Tuesday March 3rd, 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, ZonMw will organize an online information session for the Open Competition 2026 funding call. The purpose of this session is to provide background information of the funding call and the funding process. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the session.
