- Orthostatische intolerantie (OI) is een aandoening waarbij rechtop gaan zitten of staan leidt tot duizeligheid, hartkloppingen en flauwvallen. OI heeft verschillende vormen, waarvan het Posturale Orthostatische Tachycardie Syndroom (POTS) één variant is. Tussen de 40% en 90% van de ME/CVS-patiënten heeft OI en ervaart hier ernstige hinder van.
