This call for proposals is part of the wider COVID-19 programme. It is aimed at focus area 3 Societal dynamics. This call concentrates on generating knowledge about the societal dynamics of the six Caribbean islands in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, during and after the coronavirus crisis and the measures taken. What is the impact of this crisis on (aspects of) the Dutch Caribbean societies? Which economic problems have been exposed or have arisen locally as a result of the crisis? Which restart scenarios exist after a shorter or longer period of economic and societal disruption? But also: which positive effects does the crisis have? What can we learn from the crisis for the future?

For these COVID-19 urgent research projects we invite a specific consortium to submit.
For these COVID-19 urgent research projects we invite a specific consortium of research groups to submit a grant application. One local consortia can apply for this call.
For this call of proposals, a total of €250.000 is available. Applicants can apply for a maximum of €250.000 per project. The intended maximum duration of the projects is 18 months.
