NWO is making changes to Veni, Vidi and Vici grants. See latest for further details. This programme is administered by both ZonMw and NWO.
The Innovational Research Incentive Scheme includes three types of individual grant targeting different phases of a researcher’s scientific career: Veni (for recent PhD graduates), Vidi (for experienced researchers) and Vici (for highly experienced researchers). The aim of the scheme is to foster innovation in scientific research by giving talented, creative researchers the opportunity to perform research and gain entry to or promotion within a scientific research institution.
Veni grants are for researchers who have recently been awarded a PhD, giving them the chance to develop their ideas for a further three years. The maximum grant available is € 250,000 (was € 208,000)
Vidi grants are for researchers wishing to develop their own innovative line of research and appoint one or more researchers to work with them. The maximum grant available is € 800,000 (was € 600,000).
Vici grants are for senior researchers wishing to build their own research group. The maximum grant available is € 1.5m (was € 1.25m).

Keep an eye on the ZonMw and NWO websites for news of application rounds.
