Academic Collaborative Centres Youth

An academic collaborative centre is a long term partnership between one or more youth  (health) care organisations  and a university department. The main purpose of the academic collaborative centre is improving knowledge-transfer between practice, health policy, research and education.

The afore mentioned are facilitated by The Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw, Hague). The Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare & Sports and the Netherlands Organisation of Scientific Research (NWO) have allocated 9.3 million euros over the next four years to ZonMw to carry out the programme Academic Collaborative CentresYouth.

The programme invests primarily in facilities for setting up an academic collaborative centre. A grant application consists of an infrastructural part and one or more theme proposals. The infrastructure, necessary to set up an academic collaborative centre, has been documented in a contractual agreement. The collaboration between a university and one or more youth (health) care organisations consists of equal participation of both parties. The academic collaborative centres are operating in different regional areas in Holland
